Dr Simon Davies is an accomplished interventional cardiologist with a distinguished career spanning several decades. After completing his training in Cambridge and London, he joined the Royal Brompton Hospital in 1994, where he has held numerous leadership roles, both within the Trust and nationally.
Dr Davies is a renowned expert in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), transcatheter aortic valve intervention (TAVI), extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and Refsum's disease. He has a broad range of clinical interests, including cardio-oncology, mechanical circulatory support, and septal ablation of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Apart from his clinical work, Dr Davies is an honorary senior lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London. He has published extensively on various aspects of cardiology, such as PCI and stenting, platelet biology, and patient safety in a cardiac catheter laboratory.
