Dr Susannah Baron is a specilaist consultant in General Dermatology. She treats both children and adults.  As well as her private practice she also works as an NHS consultant at Kent and Canterbury Hospital where she is the lead for Paediatric Dermatology. 

Dr Baron completed her Specialist training in Dermatology in Leeds under the guidance of  Professor Cunliffe, who is an internatioal expert in the treatment of acne. 

She recognises the significant impact that skin disease can have on a person's life and it is this understanding that leads her to take a holistic approach to her practice. This is strongly reflected in her training and the expertise she has developed. She believes this is important in giving her patients the very best results. 

Dr Baron’s specialist interests and expertise include acne and eczema in children, teenagers and adults. Dr Baron has a diploma in medical hypnotherapy and can treat eczema patients with a combination of medical treatment and hypnotherapy to good effect. 

Alongside her medical treatments she is also a very experienced dermatological surgeon, specialising in skin biopsies, removal of benign moles, skin tags, and injections for excessive sweating. One of her main clinical achievements is setting up one of the only dedicated local anaesthetic surgical lists for children with skin problems. She gain vast experience in managing all forms of skin cancers surgically removes suspicious lesions and skin cancers.

A strong believer in medical education she has been invited to lecture on dermatology for the Royal College of Physicians, the British Association of Dermatology and the British Dermatology Nursing Group. Furthermore, she brings this dedication to training  to her daily activities as the joint Training Programme Director for Dermatology for the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Deanery.
