Dr Tarun Mittal is a Consultant cardiothoracic radiologist at Royal Brompton hospitals and an Honorary senior clinical lecturer, Imperial College London.
Dr Mittal underwent training in all cardiac imaging modalities (including vascular imaging) initially for two years at University Hospital of Wales at Cardiff followed by a one-year post-CCST fellowship in cardiac imaging at the Yorkshire Heart Centre, Leeds.
Dr Mittal’s research interests include the use of imaging in the prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases. He also has a great interest in teaching and education and has been conducting a course on Cardiac CT in the NHS which attracts radiologists and cardiologists from the world over.
Dr Mittal teaches and trains both radiologists and cardiologists in cardiac CT and MR from various hospitals within the UK as well as abroad. He is the Royal College of Radiologist’s tutor in cardiac imaging at Harefield Hospital.
