Dr Wseem Bakkour, Consultant Dermatologist and Dermatological Surgeon, currently works at University College London Hospital and sees patients privately in several London-based clinics. Dr Bakkour completed his general medical training in 2010, he was given membership to the Royal College of Physicians. Following this, he then began his specialist training in dermatology in Manchester within a highly prestigious unit. He was later added to the General Medical Council Specialist Register of Dermatologists. He then underwent a highly prestigious 18-month fellowship at the dermatology centre in Manchester in advanced dermatological and reconstructive surgery, lasers and cosmetic dermatology. Additionally, he further developed his skills abroad by working within the world-renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital in the USA.
Dr Bakkour is one of a few doctors in the UK who have had formal training in lasers, he can use them for a variety of conditions including scarring (including acne scarring), tattoo and pigment removal, thread veins, and rejuvenation. He is also able to provide numerous cosmetic procedures like Botox, fillers, micro needling, dermabrasion, and chemical peels.
Dr Bakkour is a highly active researcher, with a keen interest in clinical and cosmetic applications of lasers, skin cancer and dermatological surgery. He has a very impressive publication history and is regularly invited to present at conferences around the globe. He is also an engaged teacher, taking on the responsibility to supervise and train junior doctors, medical students, and international fellows. He also holds the position of a faculty member and invited speaker for an MSc in Skin Aging and Aesthetic Medicine at the University of Manchester.

I met Dr Bakkour for the first time late, November 2020 and it has been a plesant experience (medical problems ignored). Since then I have been treated by him for skin problems, successfully and am delighted. He is charming, friendly and explains to you what he is doing (in a language one can relate to and understand), why and the risks involved (if any). I am very pleased to have been introduced to him and have no hesitation in recommending him.

Dr Bakkour was excellent from start to finish. From the initial consultation, surgical procedure and follow up consultation, Dr Bakkour provided clear and expert advice in a reassuring and simple manner at every step. Doctor Bakkour was ,from my experience , one of the few doctors who does and knows their job in an impeccable manner. Professional, knowledgeable, straight to the point and full of resources. He doesn’t leave anything to chance!

I have suffered from severe acne my whole life. In order to solve that problem, I tried everything: skin care, cosmetological treatments, antibiotics, checking my blood and hormones, dermatologists. Before Dr Bakkour I assumed that I just have to come to terms with it and that I will be stuck with acne forever. However, Dr Bakkour was able to help with my problem. I have encountered many issues on my journey to clear skin, which have always been professionally addressed and taken care of. Dr Bakkour very quickly and precisely identifies the problem and the way to solve it. At the moment I am enjoying my clear skin and cannot be happier. Finding a great dermatologist can prove to be a very difficult task, but I have finally found mine, Thank you, Dr Bakkour!

Can't fault my experience.

I have attended Dr Bakkour's clinic on several occasions for advice and treatment for BCC lesions caused by sun exposure on my face. Dr Bakkour has now performed MOHs surgery on my face twice and I am very pleased with the results as the scars healed well. I am glad that I found Dr Bakkour at this time, he is always re-assuring and positive in the follow up sessions and I feel safe with his expertise in this sensitive area. I will certainly recommend him to others.

Dr Bakkour was very professional and his confidence in diagnosing and explaining the condition made me feel confortable and at ease. His skill in surgery (biopsy) was also evident. He has a very gentle and reassuring manner as well.

I was very satisfied - during the consultancy Dr Bakkour informed me about my options with great clarity and his manner is very welcoming, warm and empathetic. During the surgery that followed he put me at ease which helped with my initial anxiety. He is clearly very experienced and can highly recommend him.
