Mr Hamid Abboudi is a Urological Surgeon specialised in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney stones, benign prostate diseases including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), recurrent urinary tract infections, bladder cancer and all forms of general urology such as blood in the urine, raised PSA, testicular and pelvic pain disorders.
Following his graduation from St George's University of London, Mr Abboudi completed his higher urological training in North London, including a fellowship year at the Institute of Urology, University College London Hospitals.
He subspecialised in endourology and the minimally invasive management of kidney stones using laser technology, ureteric stricture disease and urothelial cancer of the kidney and ureter.
During his fellowship year, Mr Abboudi was awarded the prestigious British Association of Urological Surgeons Travelling Fellowship Grant. He travelled to Columbia University Medical Centre in New York City and to the city of Agra in India at the Centre for Minimally-Invasive Endourology, Global Rainbow Hospital, where he enhanced his skills in the medical and surgical management of advanced kidney stone disease.
Mr Abboudi has also developed subspecialty interests in laser prostate surgery (HoLEP) for the treatment of men with urinary problems, as well as other minimally invasive prostate treatments such as Rezum (water vapour therapy) and Urolift. He also leads a weekly outpatient clinic specialising in the diagnosis and laser treatment of bladder cancer. He is a core member of the bladder cancer and kidney stone multi-disciplinary teams at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
Mr Abboudi has a strong academic background and is involved in recruiting patients into national trials, publishing in peer reviewed medical journals and regularly presenting at national and international conferences. He has been awarded a number of postgraduate research prizes and is also a peer reviewer for several urology journals.

Mr Abboudi put me at ease from the moment I saw him. He explained my condition clearly and made a treatment plan which started immediately. I am confident in his ability to look after me and would highly recommend him. His secretary is also extremely responsive and efficient.

From my first consultation with Mr Abboudi, he listened with interest to all I had to say about my problem & I felt confident after meeting with him that he would do his best to help me. He quickly arranged scans and follow up appointments with diagnosis (prostate abscess) and treatment recommendations to address thing. He provided fast updates to my GP and made arrangements for my admission to hospital for an operation. The operation went well & Mr Abboudi event went to the trouble to phone my wife following the operation to let her know that everything went as expected & I was in recovery. Following my discharge from the hospital, Mr Abboudi continued to phone me a few times to make sure that I was doing ok. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Abboudi to anyone in need of Urological advise or care. He is easy to talk to, he listens carefully to your concerns, explains everything clearly to you and I am confident he will do his utmost to help you, as he did for me.

Excellent experience

I'm very grateful to Mr Abboudi for his excellent care and expertise over the last few weeks. He always takes the time to explain each step of the treatment (kidney stones in my case). I really appreciated his patience and willingness to listen to my concerns as a patient. With his guidance I was able to pass my kidney stone without resorting to surgical means, as Mr Abboudi allowed me the time to try various options beforehand – in my case using a short course of Alpha Blocker medication. This along with the diagnostic procedures helped track the progress of the stone until it was safely passed without pain or difficulty. I am very grateful, and I know who to seek out if, or when, the kidney stones return. Mr Abboudi has also kindly given me a number of resources, which if followed, will hopefully prevent their return – another example of the holistic approach he offers. Thank you Hamid!

I can only recommend Mr Abboudi - he is very professional, explains all well and answers all questions in a comprehensive manner. I had re-occurring UTIs for years, and haven't had one since I underwent treatment with Mr Abboudi. Fantastic and truly cares about his patients.
