Dr Irfan Wahedna is a distinguished Consultant in General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Respiratory Medicine based in Derby at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital. He also sees private patients at The Vesey Private Hospital, Nuffield Health Derby Hospital and the Royal Derby Hospital. With a career spanning several decades, Dr Wahedna has made significant contributions to the medical field through his extensive knowledge, clinical acumen, and commitment to patient care.

Dr Wahedna completed his medical degree at the University of Karachi, Pakistan in 1983 before moving to the UK. After relocating, he became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 1988 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 1999. Dr Wahedna is a registered specialist in General Internal Medicine, Respiratory Medicine and Geriatrics by the General Medical Council (GMC).

In his current clinical practice, Dr Wahedna sees patients with a wide range of conditions, including: COPD, asthma, pulmonary thromboembolism, lung cancer, airway disease, bronchiectasis, chronic cough, pulmonary fibrosis, breathlessness, tuberculosis and pleural effusions. He has specialist expertise in bronchoscopy and thoracoscopy.
