Professor Mark Tagoe is a highly skilled Consultant Podiatric Surgeon. 

He was appointed as a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at West Middlesex University Hospital in 1992, where he has played a pivotal role in leading one of the most progressive NHS Departments specialising in foot and ankle surgery. His dedication and contributions to education have earned him the title of Honorary Visiting Professor at the University of Southampton.

Professor Tagoe is internationally recognised for his expertise in foot and ankle pathology and innovative surgical techniques. He has also delivered lectures on the subject worldwide. He has authored over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has contributed to several book chapters.

In addition to his role at West Middlesex University Hospital, Professor Tagoe holds an honorary post as a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He is also a Visiting Consultant Podiatric Surgeon for the Dubai Health Authority.

Throughout his career, Professor Tagoe has held important positions, including Vice Chairman of the Specialist Advisory Board (Podiatric Surgery) at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, Dean of Faculty at the Royal College of Podiatric Surgery, Regional Chair of the Southern Deanery, and External Clinical Faculty Instructor for the Kern Hospital USA podiatric surgical training program.

Professor Tagoe's clinical practice involves a patient-centred approach. He specialises in the management of foot and ankle disorders and emphasises patient education regarding their condition and available treatment options. His areas of expertise cover a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including biomechanical assessments and gait analysis, provision of orthoses and braces, as well as surgical interventions for conditions such as bunion and toe deformities, tendon repairs, correction of severe flat and high-arched feet, foot and ankle instability, and the surgical treatment of arthritis. Professor Tagoe leads a team of specialists with the goal of providing comprehensive and expert medical care for foot and ankle conditions.
