She also sees patients with general gynaecological problems such as heavy bleeding (menorrhagia), irregular periods or pelvic pain and is a specialist in minimally invasive surgery to treat polyps, ovarian cysts and other benign gynaecology problems. She was appointed Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at University College Hospital London in 2002 and is now clinical lead of the Gynaecological Cancer Centre at UCLH.

Miss Olaitan also sees patients in her private practice for routine gynaecological checks, including smear tests, chlamydia testing, Mirena coil insertion (under sedation if necessary) HPV (High Risk Human Papilloma Virus) testing and HPV vaccination. She sees patients in private practice at The Harley Street Clinic and The Portland Hospital as a gynaecological oncologist and as a general gynaecologist. Miss Olaitan qualified at University College Hospital London (1987), followed, after general obstetrics and gynaecology training by a subspecialty Fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology at St Michael's Hospital Bristol.

Reviews

BY A VERIFIED PATIENT

It was all so quick - a suspicion of cancer, identified by my gynaecologist and less than 14 days later, Miss Adeola Olaitan operated. Clearly, top of her field, Miss Olaitan is calm, professional and focused. She thoroughly explained everything to me and my daughter and I now proudly have her 'signature' where she removed the ovarian cancer. I was very lucky to get Miss Olaitan and her 2nd in command, Jennie, is so warm and caring - the two of them make the best team ever. This is a medical review, however, I cannot resist commenting on how Miss Olaitan finds the time to look so incredibly glamorous? Checking out her impeccable outfit and staggeringly high-heeled shoes was the highlight of my day, whilst recovering after the operation. Still under Miss Olaitan’s care and Dr Mary McCormack, I could not be in better hands.
