Miss Alexandra Tenovici is a Consultant General Surgeon specialising in Breast Surgery at Spire Thames Valley Hospital. She undertook her initial medical training in France and Romania, she focused her dissertation on ‘The value of HP examination of sentinel nodes in invasive breast cancer’.

Miss Tenovici was offered the opportunity to attend a surgical techniques scholarship in Leipzig, Germany before integrating the general surgery training in Romania; where she completed her subspecialty training in breast surgery. She later obtained her Certificate of Complete of Training (CCT) following a breast surgery fellowship at Oxford University Hospital. During this time, she was able to hone her expertise in oncoplastic procedures and develop an interest in partial breast reconstructions; of which she undertakes many procedures. In 2017, Miss Tenovici was appointed a substantive Oncoplastic breast surgeon at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Miss Tenovici has special interests in the surgery of benign and malignant breast conditions, reconstruction and symmetrisation procedures. She is passionate about providing support and treatment for patients at high risk, offering risk reducing or prophylactic operations. In addition, she is interested in ensuring multidisciplinary assessment of patients; to ensure that they have the best possible treatment outcomes.

Miss Tenovici strongly believes in the clinical commitment of doctors to their patients; and she is no exception to this- treating every patient according to their individual needs to create excellent physical and cosmetic outcomes.
