Miss Fenella Welsh is a Consultant Hepatobiliary & General Surgeon working in the NHS, BMI The Hampshire Clinic and The Candover Clinic. She graduated from Cambridge University and St Mary's Hospitals Medical School in 1992, before conducting a research fellowship in Leeds and completing her surgical training in London and the South West Thames region. Fenella then undertook two specialist Surgical Fellowships. The first was in Edinburgh, in gaining experience in Hepatopancreaticobiliary and Transplant Surgery. The second was a more focused Liver Surgery Fellowship in Basingstoke, following which she was appointed there as a Consultant Surgeon in 2005.
Fenella's clinical interests include Hepatobiliary surgery, gallstones, liver cancer and neuroendocrine tumours (NETS). She is an experienced laparoscopic surgeon.
