Miss Gubby Ayida, is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. A graduate of Somerville College, Oxford and St. Thomas's Medical School, she runs her own obstetric and gynaecology clinic in London, looking after a wide range of gynaecological problems as well as monitoring women through pregnancy and assisting birth. In her clinic she performs well-women checks, sexual health checks and fertility investigations. She manages menstrual disorders, contraception, and problems related to menopause. As an Obstetrician she respects pregnancy as a state of health and childbirth as a normal, healthy physiological process.
Miss Ayida is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. She holds a number of senior medical roles such as Chair of the Maternity Risk Management Group, and Service Director for the Maternity Services. She founded the Women's Wellness Centre, a multidisciplinary clinic in the heart of Chelsea, offering support and healthcare to women and their children.
She has an active interest in Organisational Management, Risk Assessment and Reduction, and Clinical Governance, leading to regional and national contributions. These include membership of the NHS Modernisation Think Tank Group, and advice and facilitation to the National Clinical Governance Support Unit's Maternity Programme for hospitals.
Gubby Ayida is passionate about women's education and is a regular speaker at schools, colleges and industry. She is also on the Board of Governors at Latymer School in London.
