Miss Julia Sen is a Consultant Opthalmic Surgeon at the Optegra Eye Hosptial in Birmingham. She graduated from Leceister Medical School in 1993 and then undertook her surgical training in all aspects of ophthalmic practice at the Liverpool University Deanery Hospitals. It was here that she was awarded a Membership of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Ophthalmology.
Miss Sen then began further subspecialty training in the burgeoning field of oculoplastic surgery at several sites including the highly esteemed Moorfields Eye Hospital. Miss Sen is among the few ophthalmic surgeons in the UK to be trained in Mohs microsurgical techniques for skin cancer. Miss Sen can therefore combine the best outcomes of cancer cell eradication and tissue conservation.
Miss Sen also undertakes cosmetic treatments, both surgical and non-surgical (botulinum toxin, fillers, chemical peels) as part of her regular practice.
