Hey! I am Kat. I help people figure out their issue with foods, sift through confusing nutrition advice, and help people get their act together with food.

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist on a mission to set you free from dieting and confusing nutrition information. I have completed an extensive amount of formal education and training, achieving a first class degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at King’s College London, and a distinction in my Masters in Clinical Research. I am also highly experienced in providing motivational support, I’m trained in Intuitive Eating, and hold a Diploma in Neurolinguistic Programming.

There is a real focus on ‘weight loss’ for optimal health, with so many people looking to diets, fads and quick fixes. I see a huge number of clients who want to lose weight but without officially ‘dieting’.

As a result, they suffer with issues like binge eating, feeling out of control around foods, emotional eating, weight yo-yoing and just never feel happy in their body. When they learn to let go of dieting, take the focus off of trying to strive for a clothes size or number on the scale, they can find true freedom. The let go of food fears and food guilt, feel happier in their body, and let their weight settle in its happiest and healthiest place.

I help guide my clients through an evidence based approach called Intuitive Eating. Helping clients learning how to eat from the ground up, so they can get on with the things that matter most in life.

Kat helped transform not just my relationship with food, but also my relationship with life. With help from Kat I was able to break a cycle of restrictive eating which was usually followed by uncontrolled eating. I already knew the basics of what constituted a healthy eating lifestyle, yet I was living with a dieting mentality. Years of yo-yoing, I wanted to find someone who would change my thinking, and in Kat I found her! It was a true partnership, where Kat and I worked together to identify key triggers that gravitated me toward unhealthy options. There were two key components, work related stress, and childhood habits. Kat provides a holistic approach, so that she was able to provide tools to help me manage stress and sleep. We also identified work triggers that drove me to chocolate etc., and worked on options that would create a new healthier habit. Childhood habits are now where they belong, in the past, as Kat helped me to reframe those thoughts. My whole life used to revolve around either eating, or planning what I was eating. My friends don't recognise the new me who can happily make healthy decisions without feeling deprived (which used to lead to a binge in the past). I can't believe how little we talked about food, yet the session had such an impact on what I ate and how I viewed it. I am now happy with who I am, relaxed about what I eat as I know I'm worth more than a diet, and I'm loving my new lifestyle. I can't thank Kat enough, just wish I'd found her years ago!

This has been the best investment I have made in myself. I am healthier, my diet is much more varied and diverse and best of all I have lost weight and kept it off. I always thought I knew how to lose weight, having lost it before, done all the weight loss clubs and tried every diet going but I just got heavier. Working with Kat felt like my last option and it has paid off. Most surprising of all has been learning that its not just about the numbers on the scale but also about the nutrition, my relationship with food, getting good sleep, managing my stress and moving more.
