I came to see Lisa in 2016 at the age of 18, having never developed any breast tissue and being incredibly self-conscious about this. Prior to booking my appointment, I had sought help from the NHS regarding this issue and was advised that surgery was my only option. Unfortunately, my application to receive this surgery via the NHS was rejected. Despite this disappointment at the time, I am incredibly grateful now, as I was fortunate enough to meet the wonderful Lisa and Liana. My father, who is a GP, discovered Lisa through glowing recommendations from his professional colleagues, naturally seeking the best possible care for his daughter. I can certainly say that we found it. My initial consultation with Lisa involved a thorough examination of my medical history. We discussed in detail the process of my surgery and recovery, as well as the expected outcome, including various implant options. In addition to surgery details, Lisa shared valuable insight into my PCOS condition and how to manage it. These learnings have been incredibly helpful and will stay with me for life. Being so young when seeking treatment, I was perhaps more nervous than most about undergoing surgery. However, Lisa's kindness, care, understanding, attentiveness, and expertise completely put my (and my parents'!) minds at ease. I will forever be grateful to Lisa not only for this, but also for achieving the natural look I desired, which immensely boosted my confidence and helped me discover what it truly means to feel like a woman. I can genuinely say that Lisa changed my life. Before my operation, I had the opportunity to discuss the experience with another patient who had undergone the same surgery. This allowed me to gain a better understanding of what to expect and ask any questions I had, which was greatly appreciated. My post-surgery treatment was also outstanding, and I felt completely safe and well-cared for, receiving the highest possible standard of care. Lisa's care has been absolutely wonderful, and I cannot recommend her and her team highly enough.

I had a vertical breast reduction 3 weeks ago J cup to DD and I could never have imagined in my wildest dreams how much of a positive difference this would make both emotionally and physically - I am absolutely thrilled with the result. My self confidence has improved, as has as my posture. I can now look in a mirror and feel positive about myself. I cannot believe that after such a short time the numbness and pain in my neck and shoulder, which I had for years, is no longer there. Lisa and Liana have been excellent from the start of the process through to follow ups post op. I would highly recommend, Lisa did such an amazing thing for me.

My experience with Lisa was wonderful. She was professional & caring. I felt calm, relaxed and reassured throughout. She sympathised with my situation and took time to understand the reasons for my surgery. She explained honestly the risks, discussed my exceptions and recovery before agreeing to go ahead. I felt the consultation prior was personalised which was important to me. Whilst in hospital she kept me informed and talked me through each step. I am really pleased with my results. She gave me lots of helpful advice about my recovery and the follow up care has been fantastic! Have already recommended friends to Lisa & her superb team!

I am a 38 year old mum to 3 children. My second pregnancy with twins left me with a significant abdominal muscle divarification and excess skin on my tummy. The bulging tummy and excess skin meant I just didn’t feel like myself and had plenty of health niggles as a result of such poor abdominal muscle function - lower back ache, hip pain, poor bowel function. I am now 12 weeks post tummy tuck and abdominal muscle plication surgery and am so pleased with the result. The improvement to my bodily function is amazing (with all the niggles resolved) including some unexpected positives as a result of better vagina positioning as I no longer have a tilt to my pelvis. And I feel like I look like myself again with a lovely flat tummy. The scar and belly button still needs time to heal fully but is already looking good. And I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon! Lisa is amazing as a surgeon but also the best person you could ever wish for to support you through the process from start to finish. It is incredible value for money and well worth the discomfort as I am so pleased with the result. Thank you Lisa!

Explanation

My first breast surgery and uplift with Lisa was 18 years ago. I was absolutely terrified so much so that Lisa delayed the surgery for 2 weeks until I had fully accepted the procedure. I was so scared of awful scarring and I can honestly say that within 6 months I would have been happy going topless…. If I’d wanted to. She is an absolute seamstress with regards to stitching and she is also the most incredibly kind and reassuring person you will ever meet. I don’t have enough space to tell every good thing about Lisa however suffice to say I have had breast surgery 18 years ago, a blepharoplasty 6 years ago and recent breast surgery due to 17 years of implants and inevitable incapsulation. My expectations this time were lower given I am now 55 however the result is as good as it was the first time! A wonderful result. Again minimal scarring from the uplift and exceptional healing. When my 28 year old daughter wanted her breasts enlarged I was insistent she only came to Lisa. I would have been so worried about anyone else carrying out her surgery and I had absolute confidence in Lisa. You will not, without question, find another surgeon who offers 10 years of follow ups which she does with pleasure it feels. She gets to know you and your family and makes you feel like part of her clinical ‘family’. She has the most amazing team in Liana and the excellent anaesthetist and nurses she operates with. You could not be in better hands ! I have no hesitation in highly recommending Lisa and her team.

Explanation

30 years old, Vertical breast reduction with Lisa Sacks, H cup to D/DD - 2.2kg removed! I’ve always been self conscious about my breasts since I was 16 and due to this and various other experiences I’ve had very low self confidence all of my adult life. The back, neck and should pain I experienced could be debilitating. I was always hunched from the weight and tried to slouch to hide them. I never liked myself in clothes, would normally return 90% if what I bought and anything I wore I was always covered up. The worst was someone talking about my breasts, being sexually objectified, being stared at or yelled at in the street. I hated that having big breasts was my identity and it affected every part of my life. Breast reduction surgery is something I heard about 5/6 years ago and researched at the time however due to cost I put to the back of mind to hopefully to be able to fund one day but was just so unhappy. Fast forward to a year ago I decided to this year when I finally able to fund this operation. I met with Lisa in February 2023 (via zoom) for an initial consultation for a vertical breast reduction. I had found Lisa when I was living in Somerset as a local surgeon in Bristol and was very interested in the fact she only performed vertical breast reductions when the anchor method was the only one I’d seen. Since I’ve had issues with keloid scarring I decided to put her on my list of surgeons I wanted to meet with. I also met with another surgeon who did the anchor scaring but decided Lisa was the surgeon for me. I liked Lisa anyway but due to the fact if I did have keloid scaring then at least it would be less than the anchor - I always said I would definitely have the operation even if I was told I would be guaranteed keloid scaring due to the affect my breasts were having on my life. I’d seen reviews from other clients and also searched for experiences on a Facebook group for breast reductions, I didn’t read a bad thing about Lisa from my research. After considering my options I booked in my operation with Lisa for August 2023 - around 6 months in advance. Lisa put me into contact with 2 patients, I was most interested to hear why they decided to go for the vertical. It was also nice to talk to someone who had the same experiences as I did. Like always bumping into things with their breasts and wearing bras with broken wires to avoid bra shopping. The morning of my operation Lisa came in to draw on me and then I was second in the theatre. I’ve had operations before and I always found walking to the theatre and waiting to be put asleep the worst bit of the operation. However Lisa and her team made me feel very at ease and I wasn’t anxious at all waiting to go asleep. As soon as I woke up I was so desperate to see myself! I could barely keep my eyes open in the recovery room and I kept saying to the nurse how small I felt I was! When I got back to my room I was very insistent on putting on my top to see how small I was. I don’t think I’d ever been happier/more relieved in my life that this was now how I looked and cried happy tears! Lisa saw me later that afternoon and then the next day. She fitted my post surgery bra on (I cried again!) before I went home and I’ve never been more comfortable in a bra since in my entire life. Lisa gave me a detailed list of what I could and couldn’t do for the next 2/6 weeks and then 3/6 months. The Nuffield is a wonderful hospital to stay in. The food was amazing and the staff and nurses were great. I felt very well taken care of during my time there. When I went home I only took the pain medication for the first couple of days after the surgery and due to stomach cramps I decided to not take the codeine one night and thought I’d see how I went, after that I only felt discomfort when I pushed my self too much from putting on my stockings for example due to the swelling underneath my breasts. I actually found this better so I could listen to my body and didn’t have any pain in general. Even when I came out of surgery I didn’t really feel much pain. I had full movement of my arms which I was surprised as when you have the anchor you can’t lift you arms up for couple of weeks. I went out for short slow walks a couple of times a day and felt this helped, it was nice to move around and obviously helps to prevent blood clots. My family said after a few days when I started trying on my clothes, not only how much smaller I was but how much taller I looked. The hardest part of this surgery was the first 2 weeks of recovery. I’m an independent person, I have 2 dogs and was used to walking 2-3 hours a day. So having to rely on someone to do everything and not being able to walk my dogs I struggled with. Once I hit the 2 week mark I was so glad to be able to get out more with my dogs even if I was limited, and then once again when I hit the 6 week mark it felt good to be able to walk further and be back to normal with my routine. The first walk I did once I hit the 6 week mark was partly up a steep hill. When I did this pre surgery I was in so much pain afterwards - my back, shoulders and neck hurt. When I did this after my surgery, I didn’t have any of that pain! It felt so good to do simple exercise and to not be in pain. I’ve had post op appointments with Lisa at 2 weeks in person to change my dressings (this was painless which was surprisingly). However my breasts were sore for a few days after which I think was just from my breasts being secure in the bandage to just now being in the tape and adjusting. My next appointments were by zoom at 6 weeks and 3 months. We reviewed the photos I took and I couldn’t believe the difference when Lisa compared the photos. I have a scar on my stomach that my old bra band used to sit at - now my bra band probably sits 10 cm above that! Lisa is very happy with how I’m recovering and I am very happy I’m done this operation. I’ve had no complications and my wounds healed quickly. I would say the main pros of the vertical (from reading other people’s experiences) compared to the anchor is the lack of pain, and the movement of my arms immediately post op. Plus with less incisions there is less scarring - I’d seen so many people have complications with healing after the anchor. The cons of the vertical is that the breast shape is more pointed/triangular initially however this changes quickly, and once you have your bra and clothes on, no one could tell anyway. There is also swelling underneath the breast that is sore, but again this goes down dramatically in the first 2 weeks. I took 2 weeks off work (I told my work I may take 3 as Lisa offers to sign you off for that long). I have a desk job and work from home mostly. I could have gone back to work earlier if I really needed to however decided to take the time to ensure I was ready and healed. How has this operation changed my life? I feel like I can finally live my life without my lack of confidence holding me back. I’ve said to Lisa I feel now this is how my body should have always been proportion wise. My breasts are no longer an issue, I don’t think about them anymore. I don’t think people are staring at me, my breasts are not my identity anymore. Pre surgery feels like a former life. I’m forever grateful for Lisa for doing this operation and changing my life for the better. You can tell Lisa really cares not only about her work, but her patients too.

"It was worth every single penny and discomfort, and I love them" "I am 57 years old and have just had a vertical breast reduction at Nuffield in Clifton. For many years I have suffered with bad back, neck and shoulder problems, to be told that the problem was not my breasts…..but it was, because now 15 weeks post-op, I have none of those problems! It was worth every single penny and discomfort, and I love them, sounds stupid I know, but it has changed my life. I have so much more energy and enthusiasm, I want to go out and look good and socialize, it makes such a difference to me, it’s not about anyone else, but family and friends say how much happier and confident I am now. I have always felt “big” with my 36FF boobs, hiding in pictures, covering up, and have always thought how amazing it would be to be smaller, I am now a 36DD, I feel slim and even if I say so myself look and feel great in tighter tops and stand tall and not hiding. I did my research, of course, and so very happy to have found Lisa. She is the most amazing person and of course surgeon, and so knowledgeable. Her pre and post-op care is second to none, and you probably wouldn’t find that with any other surgeon. To be texted every day for two weeks by Lisa herself post-op was so special and I was so grateful she was keeping a special eye on me, as she does for all her patients, I always knew I could contact Liana, Lisa’s secretary with any worries or doubts. It is a big operation, and you have to be in the right place mentally and physically to have it done, as it does take time to heal and you have to be patient, but the outcome is amazing, even at 15 weeks! I know I still have a while to go until they are completely settled, but I am so pleased and can’t thank Lisa enough for her skills."

Having been wanting to enhance/enlarge my breasts for about 25 years, I finally decided to take some action in 2018. I met Lisa, with whom I instantly clicked and I felt fully enthused about moving forward with the process. Life and Lockdowns had other plans, so there was a five year hiatus until our next meeting, but I still felt as sure as ever. I was an AA cup and at age 47, having breast fed two hungry boys ten and eight years prior, it was time to take action and do something for myself. Lisa and her PA Liana, supported me at every step of the journey. I was put in touch with a previous client, which was incredibly helpful. Having such a significant surgical procedure at this time of life is daunting, I'm a busy working Mum and there was so much to consider, however I felt fully informed and guided. I practised with a range of sizes at home and finally decided that I would like to go for either 250 or 275cc implants (Mentor micro textured Cohesive Silicone gel.) As one breast was bigger than the other, in surgery it was decided to go for one of each size. Three months on, I am beyond happy with the results! My shape has changed significantly and I have a far more feminine physique; I am wearing a size 32D bra and some great outfits. I had always worn padded bras previously and it is wonderful to not have to anymore! Breast Augmentation is certainly not a procedure to be undertaken lightly, there is lots to think about around the practicalities and after care, as well as it being a big financial commitment. I feel very fortunate that I have been so well looked after throughout and continue to be so. For me, undergoing this surgery was one of the best decisions I have ever made in life and definitely worth the money I saved up to do it. I couldn't recommend Lisa and her team more; peace of mind is everything and that is something I have had throughout.
