Miss Mahboub Hawkes is a Consultant Ophthalmologist based at KIMS Hospital in Maidstone and Will Adams Treatment Centre in Gillingham.
Miss Mahboub Hawkes studied at the American Medical School in Tehran, Iran and qualified at the University of California in Los Angeles. She went on to train at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London and specialised in Oculoplastics. She has a special interest in cataracts, macular degeneration, and glaucoma.
Miss Hawkes has an interest in academia, and she has educated many optometrists, junior doctors, and General Practitioners. She has also contributed to the assessment of new treatments in ophthalmology, including lens implants for cataract surgery and drug trials for glaucoma.
