Miss Naaila Aslam is a Consultant Gynaecologist, based at University College London Hospitals and she also sees patients privately, including at The Portland Hospital. Miss Aslam specialises in early pregnancy, ultrasound and minimally invasive surgery. She treats patients with a wide range of benign gynaecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, ovarian cysts and fibroids and she also performs laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. Her out-patient procedures include hysteroscopy and the treatment of miscarriages.

Miss Aslam graduated from the University of Leeds with a distinction in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1994 and then continued with postgraduate training in London and Bristol. During this time she completed a two year research fellowship in early pregnancy and gynaecology ultrasound and a one year clinical fellowship at University College London Hospitals in advanced minimal access surgery. She was appointed as a Consultant Gynaecologist at UCLH in 2006 and became Clinical Lead for Gynaecology at UCLH between 2008 and 2010.

She was also awarded an MD degree from the University of London for her research work on the role of gynaecology ultrasound in the assessment of ovarian tumours. Miss Aslam has published and presented her work on early pregnancy and gynaecology ultrasound both nationally and internationally.
