Miss Sharmina Khan is a Consultant Cataract Specialist at the world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Every week she carries out high-volume and complex cataract surgery, in addition to training the future generation of cataract surgeons. She has successfully undertaken sub-specialist fellowship training in Cataract and Corneal surgery and is the Cataract Service Audit Lead at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Miss Sharmina Khan sits on the Royal College of Ophthalmologists' Curriculum Committee and in 2017 completed a MSc in Medical Education at UCL with her thesis covering postgraduate training in cataract surgery.
Interests include optimising toric intra-ocular lens outcomes to correct astigmatism during cataract surgery.
