Theresa gained her medical qualification at University of London, in addition to her BSc in psychology she specialises In nervous amd anxioys patients
. After this, she trained for seven years with various prestigious institutions, including the Royal College of Surgeons, The Western Eye Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital, where she gained fellowship in Retina and Uveitis. She was a consultant in glaucoma and medical retina from 2002 in Croydon where she set up the Macula service amd was lead consultant for 8 years gaining four clinical excellence awards . She was later appointed consultant in 2014 at the Imperial Healthcare Trust, where she also trains junior Ophthalmologists in retina and cataract care, including cataract surgery and laser retina surgery. She is well versed to performing complex eye surgeries with low complication rates of 0.04.

I count myself very lucky to have had Miss Richardson doing both my cataract operations and felt I couldn’t have been in better hands. I’m one of the world’s worst patients and I found her very reassuring and accommodating. When I wanted to know about all the options she provided very useful advice and information and her care goes above and beyond, answering questions quickly and out-of-hours. No stuffiness, she’s a breath of fresh air and clearly cares a great deal about her patients.

I presented as a more unusual and complex case for Miss Richardson. This certainly did not phase her, and she approached it with ever more enthusiasm and commitment. She went out of her way and beyond to ensure that she approached my case with all the necessary information to hand.. I had my cataract surgery yesterday and Miss Richardson took time and care to produce a fantastic result in returning my sight to where it was. Thanks- forever grateful . Benjamin
