Mr Sian was extremely thorough in his examination, extremely knowledgeable and provided a very clear and concise explanation of my condition and the options available to me. He also suggested things that would help me manage my condition in the long term after my procedure. He provided an explanation that was easy to understand and was thoroughly professional in his bedside manner.

Mr Indy Sian is an excellent surgeon and I will always remember his care, his explanations of what he would be doing, his friendly manner and excellent listening skills. I have already recommended him to a few people who will soon need cataract surgery. He is, in my opinion, an unusual physician in that he included me as a participant in my own care. He showed me imaging of my eyes, both before and after surgery and he gave me all the information I needed to be able to make decisions about my operations. I feel lucky to have had him as my surgeon.

Mr Sian was very warm, polite and caring, he gave reassurance and full explanation of my condition and the possible options available. He wasn’t pushy and gave me plenty of time to consider the options.

I have given 5 out of 5 for a number of reasons. The outcome of my cataract surgery, for both eyes, has been excellent: the vision is as good as it's possible to be, and the procedure was complete pain-free. I have experienced no discomfort or side-effects since the surgery. My Sian's bedside manor is very good: during the surgery he was very reassuring and he gave me lots of information about what was happening as it went along, which made me feel calmer about the whole thing. Overall, and this includes all consultations before and after the surgery, Mr Sian was very good at giving me information and answering all my questions - I do like to ask a lot of questions and Mr Sian was good at listening and giving me a full answer. After the surgery, Mr Sian was very easy to contact which is particularly helpful after any procedure. After my first cataract surgery I had a question for Mr Sian and I phoned his secretary, she suggested I send an email, I then received a phone call back from him within half an hour of my email. I was very impressed by this quick response.

Whenever I've met with Mr Sian he has been friendly, clear in his explanations and descriptions of procedures as well as having an excellent bedside manner. I have total confidence in his skills and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Whilst I was anxious before the procedure my fears were unjustified. Each step was explained to me and the whole operation was completed quickly and efficiently.

OphthalmologyMr Sian is an exceptional eye surgeon as well as being a kind and caring doctor. He specialized in corneal transplant and cataract surgery as a fellow at Moorfields Eye Hospital London. His understanding of optics due to a foundational degree in optometry gives him a deep level of understanding about vision correction surgeries including cataract surgery, lens replacement surgery, and laser eye surgery. I have known Indy as a trainee at Moorfields where I was fellowship director and also as a friend. He passes the 'Would you send your mum to him?' test with flying colors and I recommend him without reservation.
