Explanation

I am very pleased to have been referred to Mr. Oliver Stone for my carpal tunnel surgery. He is an experienced, patient and kind surgeon who went over my condition with me in detail, conducted all necessary tests and explained what my options were in terms of surgery (endoscopic or open surgery). I opted to go ahead with endoscopic bilateral surgery, as this meant my recovery time would be faster and I would have smaller scars than open surgery. The procedures were carried out under local anaesthetic by Mr. Stone and his excellent team at Nuffield Health Hospital. Mr. Stone explained the process to me during the surgery and made sure I felt comfortable with what was going on. The aftercare was equally well explained to me and I went home feeling confident in my recovery. The healing went to plan and I have just small scars on my inner wrists that are fading nicely. I saw Mr. Stone again around 6 weeks after my surgery and he went through everything again to make sure I was happy with the results, which of course I am. My carpal tunnel symptoms have cleared up completely and I am back to normal! This is indeed a wonderful outcome for which I am most grateful to Mr. Stone, and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone requiring his surgical expertise.

Explanation

I cannot thank Mr Stone enough for all he has done for me. It is often hard to ask for help but from the very first appointment I knew I was in safe hands and in the presence of someone who really does care. Mr Stone is not only an amazing surgeon, fixing both my wrists and giving me back opportunities in life I had perhaps given up on but he is also extremely kind, attentive and supportive. He takes the time to get to know you as a patient and makes every effort to tailor your treatment around your needs. He always knows how to make you feel safe and reassured throughout your treatment journey. I was always given time to talk things through and never felt rushed. Everything was explained clearly to me and I was always made to feel involved and very much a part of my treatment plan. Mr Stone is an excellent surgeon and a wonderful human being and I am so very grateful to him. I would like to thank Mr Stone for everything and wish him all the very best for the future!
