Professor Abhilash Jain is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon based in London, UK. Following his graduation he undertook specialist surgical training and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England before he began training in Plastic, Reconstructive, Hand and Aesthetic Surgery in various teaching hospitals throughout London.
He was awarded an MSc with Distinction from University College London as well as a PhD from the Imperial College London for his research focusing on the effects of rheumatoid arthritis on the hand. Upon completion of his studies and higher surgical training in both London and Sydney, Australia he was the recipient of the prestigious Plastic Surgery Specialist Fellowship. During this time he gained experience in congenital hand surgery and cosmetic surgery.
Professor Jain was the first Plastic Surgeon to undertake a Royal College of Surgeon approved microsurgery fellowship in lower limb reconstruction and the winner of the highly sort after HEFCE Clinical Senior Lecturer-NHS award.
He has a specialist interest in all aspects of hand, lower limb reconstruction, general plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery.
