About

Mr Adam Jones is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based in Reading, UK. He has a specialist interest in laparoscopic surgery for benign and malignant urology conditions as well as adding to the existing service for urological cancer. He has pioneered robotic Surgery in Reading and has performed over 200 radical prostatectomies.

Graduating from Middlesex Hospital Medical School he was awarded the prestigious Broderip Scholarship, the highest form of recognition for any undergraduate student. He went on to complete his surgical training at Whipps Cross and Chase Farm Hospital before specialising in Urology on rotation in the Oxford Region. During his specialist training he was the recipient of a prestigious one year Hunterian Professorship for his research into the blood supply to bladder cancers and disruption mechanisms.

Adam has taught as a faculty member for ERUS (European Robotic Urology Symposium) in helping to train future robotic surgeons through his varied training courses.

In 2012 he was awarded Pride of Reading – Healthcare Worker of the Year in recognition for his clinical and fundraising robotic appeal (‘Robbie the Robot Appeal') which raises funds to support the Da Vinci Robot installation.
