Mr Alastair Davidson is a highly experienced Orthopedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery with more than 10 years of practice as a consultant surgeon in this field. He completed most of his post graduate training in some of the most renowned London hospitals for Orthopaedic Surgery, including a Final Specialist Year at the Hip and Knee Unit of the prestigious Royal National Orthopedic Hospital in Stanmore and a fellowship in Sydney, Australia.
In 2005, immediately after finishing his extensive training, Mr Davidson was appointed as a Locum Consultant at the RNOH Stanmore, and subsequently at Imperial London College Hospitals, before being appointed at Frimley Park NHS Hospital. He is a an expert in all kinds of knee and hip surgery, while his special interests concern modern techniques of cartilage reconstruction and resurfacing. He is a renowned figure in his field as he has participated in the national MRC ACTIVE trial on cartilage resurfacing. Moreover, he is the author of numerous published articles, which have been presented in national and international conferences.
Dr Davidson is also a respected teacher and examiner at RNOH Stanmore and Imperial College. His major contributions in the field have provided him the privilege of being a British Orthopaedic Association Travelling Fellow and BOA Clinical Champion for Frimley Park Hospital.
