Can’t rate Mr Davidson highly enough! I was referred to him by my GP due to osteoarthritis in both knees. X-rays had already confirmed this. On our first meeting, he X-rayed my hips and found the same problem. One total hip replacement and total replacement of both knees was therefore necessary. This was August. By March all three operations were completed. Before he started, we checked his statistics online. In a trade where practice really does make perfect, he had completed a greater than average number of procedures with less than average complications. This is no doubt due to his thoroughness and attention to detail which was mentioned by his registrars in post-op discussion as being above average. He instils confidence with his cheerful, friendly and humorous personality and a calmness which belies the stress that must accompany this job. My operations were all completed successfully and I am very pleased with the results. At 68 I had developed the gait of a 90-year old, but have been transformed by these ops into......a normal 68 year old (at least)! Many, many thanks.

I would give Mr Davidson 5 stars all round. I have received two Conformis total knee operations from him . He has been professional, straightforward and efficient throughout. He completed my right knee in Sept 19 and my left knee in January 2020. As I am in my early 70's I felt some trepidation about the first operation. This went very smoothly and I made a good recovery so was able to go forward with the second operation. I entered into this with complete confidence and trust in Mr Davidson. He tells you exactly what you need to know, not what you don't. He is clear and practical and you just need to stick to his advice and follow the recovery plan. I am recovering well from the second operation , quicker than the first time round and after two weeks can walk adequately without crutches. I am very grateful to Mr Davidson.

Having been warned that knee replacement operations can bring serious complications, I had put off going for an op for years and suffered considerable knee pain as a result. However, Mr Davidson was very reassuring (though he also spelled out the possible complications, as he had to do) and I felt I was in good hands throughout the whole experience. Mr Davidson was very efficient and professional. And the results are far better than I'd dared hope. My knee has healed extremely well and is almost back to full bending, 3 months on. I will certainly be back to sort the other knee when necessary.

Clear and concise with the diagnosis and what the options open to me were so I was able to make an informed judgement as to next steps.

Having been very apprehensive about having a total hip replacement which I desperately needed, and then meeting Mr Alastair Davidson I was immediately sure I had made the right decision. Everything was explained to me in detail, and I cannot speak too highly of the care and attention I was given

2 weeks since my op and I’m almost back to ‘normal’ and the knee feels so much better today already and the constant aching has gone. The whole experience at Frimley from pre op to the actual day of surgery couldn’t have been better. No doubt we’ll meet again when the other knee decides to go!
