Mr Alex Chung is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at St. George's and Parkside Hospitals. He graduated in Medicine in 1999 from the University of London and is fully trained in all aspects of General Surgery.
Mr Chung's specialty is Colorectal Surgery and "key-hole" surgery for colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and complex hernia surgery.
Beyond his clinical commitments, Mr Chung is passionate about research and completed his MD at the University of London following his work which focused on the function of the gut.
A surgeon who stays informed, Mr Chung recently wrote an article for the Daily Telegraph advocating the benefits of playing music in the operating theatre to help concentration and focus.
