About

Mr Noorani works at St Bartholomew’s and Royal London Hospital (Barts Health NHS) as a substantive Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon, specialising in trauma and upper limb surgery.

He has used the LEAN methodology to streamline the patient journey in the upper limb service. He has introduced several innovative pathways, including a one-stop clinic where patient assessment, radiological investigations, pre-admission, and scheduling can all be done within 24 hours. Under his leadership, the upper limb service has acquired state of the art surgical equipment to provide patients with the optimal treatment. He has also introduced a therapy clinic, along with rehabilitation protocols, and patient information sheets for upper limb procedures to ensure patients receive timely and effective post-operative physiotherapy.

He is the founding member of the Royal London Orthopaedic and Trauma Society and the Barts Orthopaedic Fund.

In 2014 he was the official doctor in London for the NBA and NFL matches.

Mr Noorani is on the education board of the European Society for Shoulder and Elbow Rehabilitation and is an active member of both the British Shoulder and Elbow Society and the British Orthopaedic Association. In addition, he is a member of the British Medical Association and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons.

Mr Noorani is well published in peer-reviewed journals and has carried out research in several areas including instability. Currently, he is the principle investigator on several multicentre randomised controlled trials.

Very gentle, friendly and knowledgeable with my grandmother, although follow up investigation and likely treatment required and we haven't gotten that far yet. Very comfortable to proceed with Mr Noorani though.
