Mr Amir Qureshi is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based at University Hospital, Southampton. Mr Qureshi expertise includes Lower Limb Arthroplasty and Limb Reconstruction surgery, completing international fellowships in both fields.
Mr Qureshi obtained his medical degree from the University of Wales, College of Medicine (UWCM) and went to complete his orthopaedic training at the prestigious Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry where he was awarded the Lloyd Griffiths Medal. He has previously worked at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham and as a Research Trauma Fellow at University Hospitals, Birmingham.
Outside his practice, Mr Qureshi is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Southampton, his excellent teaching earning him consecutive 'Wessex Teacher of the Year' awards, and he lectures internationally. His research interests include the use of stem cells and novel electromagnetically driven osteotomy surgery.
Mr Qureshi's professional memberships include the British Association of the Knee and the British Limb Reconstruction Society.
