Mr Amir Qureshi is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based at University Hospital, Southampton. Mr Qureshi's expertise includes Lower Limb Arthroplasty and Limb Reconstruction surgery, he has completed international fellowships in both fields.
Mr Qureshi obtained his medical degree from the University of Wales, College of Medicine (UWCM) and went to complete his orthopaedic training at the prestigious Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry where he was awarded the Lloyd Griffiths Medal. He has previously worked at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham and as a Research Trauma Fellow at University Hospitals, Birmingham.
Outside his practice, Mr Qureshi is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Southampton, his excellent teaching earning him consecutive 'Wessex Teacher of the Year' awards, and he lectures internationally. His research interests include the use of stem cells and novel electromagnetically driven osteotomy surgery.
Mr Qureshi's professional memberships include the British Association of the Knee and the British Limb Reconstruction Society.

Mr Qureshi gave me the best NHS care I`ve ever had. One of the best doctors. He gave me a new quality of life I can live now by fixing my knee. I am glad I changed my doctor from mr Hancock to mr Qureshi who took my case more serious and gave me clear instruction and explanation what we are gonna do from step 1 through the whole process of getting my knee better. Also explained other options than only surgery and recommend the best option for myself. I will be eternally grateful to mr Qureshi for all he have done for me.

Mr S is doing amazingly well after his knee replacement operation. All due to your expertise and dedicated surgery. It has been just a few weeks and walking unaided with no pain and the scar is almost non-existent. We would really recommend Mr Qureshi and the Spire Hospital Southampton. Also the staff were very kind and caring and we are grateful for all the treatment

I would like to pass on my thanks to Mr Qureshi and all the team at the Spire Hospital for my visit yesterday. I was very well looked after and everything went as scheduled and planned. Bit stiff, achey and sore today but generally well and I think already feeling the benefits of the surgery. Mr GB (Jan'18)
