Mr Andrew Cobb is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Surrey, UK.
Mr Cobb qualified in 1977 at the Middlesex Hospital, London. He then went on to and train as a Senior House Officer on a rotation in Bristol, as Registrar in Oxford and Senior Registrar on the St Bartholomew's Hospital rotation through Norwich, Great Ormond Street and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. He was Clinical Fellow in joint replacement surgery at the Harvard University Medical School, Boston in 1987, and ABC Travelling Fellow in 1992.
Mr Cobb was one of the leading Consultants at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, and Senior Lecturer in Orthopaedics in the Institute of Orthopaedics, University College, London between 1988 -1994. He has been Education Secretary and member of Council of the British Orthopaedic Association, Intercollegiate FRCS Orth. Examiner 1999-2004 and is currently Director of Professional Affairs for South East Coast region and deputy Medical director of Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust.
He is the author of many papers on hip and knee surgery and international lecturer on hip resurfacing. He is currently a reviewer for The Journal of Arthroplasty, the Knee and the Journal of Engineering in Medicine.
Mr Andrew Cobb has successfully performed over 800 hip replacements and 300 knee replacements in the last 3 years.
