Mr Ashu Gandhi is a dually qualified Consultant Surgeon. He is fully trained in the surgical treatment of disorders of the breast in addition to diseases of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.
Mr Gandhi has a deep and broad knowledge of breast cancer prevention diagnosis and treatment. He currently works as a Consultant Surgeon for the Nightingale & Prevent Breast Cancer Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital, one of the largest and busiest breast screening units in the UK.
In addition to completing hundreds of surgical procedures in this field, Mr Gandhi also works closely with several organisations to improve the standard of patient care across the UK. These include being a prominent member of the Association of Breast Surgery and the British Association of Endocrine & Thyroid Surgeons.
He also sits on the Medical Board of the Prevent Breast Cancer Charity.
In his practice as a thyroid and parathyroid surgeon, My Gandhi runs a busy Endocrine Surgery practice at the Wythenshawe Hospital.
Mr Gandhi has published numerous scientific papers in international journals in his endeavours to improve the lives of patients suffering from breast and endocrine diseases. He has been awarded an MD from the University of Manchester for his research on breast cancer and helped write the guidelines on the management of thyroid disease.
