I required a discectomy in my lower back after experiencing very bad sciatica for a period. All throughout the process, from investigation, the procedure, to recovery, Mr. Taylor was amazing. Any questions I had he always took the time to explain his answers courteously and made sure I understood what was going on. At no stage did I worry I was not in the best hands possible. Post op I've had no complications with wound healing cleanly and sciatica going away. Post op pain generally was more at an uncomfortable level for the first 2-3 days but settled after that. I'm well on my way to a full recovery now thanks to Mr. Taylor. I cannot recommend Mr. Taylor enough.

I came to Mr Taylor with severe Scheuermann's Kyphosis that caused a hunched-over appearance and chronic pain. At the age of 20, it was hardly something I wanted to deal with for the rest of my life. An operation was neededbeforethe curvature which would fuse my spine with rods and screws. I saw several Orthopaedic surgeons prior to Mr Taylor, but not one was as comforting and nor professional. I knew straight away that I could completely trust him. The surgery has been significantly life-improving and Mr Taylor has explained everything perfectly along the way. I would do it all over again if I had to. His secretary Alison also deserves just as much credit! I have never spoken to such a genuinely caring and lovely secretary ever. I could contact her at any point if there were any questions I had, and she would do everything she could to get an answer. She was simply amazing. I wish there were far more Alisons in this world!

Mr Taylor is a maestro. I believe I can say this because I had suffered an operation at a different, un-related private practice which gave me no pre-care... rushed me through the operation... no one visited after the operation at all... I simply went home in worse agonising pain than when I started. Mr Taylor was the opposite experience. Comprehensive evaluation of my back and leg problems, fantastic care in hospital both before and after the operation, and continued advice after. I could walk after Mr Taylor's surgery and was out of pain! I cannot thank him and his team enough.

My hip specialist at King Edward VII Hospital, Mr Robert Marston, referred me to Mr Taylor regarding a trapped nerve issue affecting my right hand and lower back pain. Mr Taylor was pleasant, thorough and explained everything clearly. Although I decided not to proceed with the neck operation for the trapped nerve given my concerns and the cost, we proceeded with steroid injections in my lower back which have given a significant improvement in the reduction of pain in my lower back. I am now doing physiotherapy to strengthen my core and work on my right hand to retain a degree of dexterity.

From my first consultation to the end of my journey, which included a big operation, I had absolute confidence in Mr Taylor. Totally honest in his explanation about everything he was planing to do. Very understanding of my suffering and concerns about the outcome of the operation. I have no regrets whatsoever having had the operation and have now almost no pain.

I went to see Mr Taylor on the recommendation of a friend. I’d been in pain for weeks and the last week before I saw him was particularly bad. The initial consultation was thorough and everything was clearly explained. An MRI was arranged, within 30 minutes of it happening I received a call from Mr Taylor explaining the results. He operated on me the same week and I wept after the operation due to the sheer relief of no longer being in pain. We had a follow-up consultation today and again, everything was wonderfully clear. For anyone suffering with back pain he is the dream consultant. Calm, clear and thorough. I told him this morning that my operation was life-changing but in truth I’ll never be able to thank him enough.

After struggling with coccyx pain since the birth of my daughter, I went to see Mr Taylor. I simply can't rate the experience highly enough. Along with his assistant Julia, they were an efficient, kind, and helpful team! I had a fast initial diagnosis, a same day confirmation after MRIs/x-rays, and an extremely helpful injection procedure. Everything about the experience was truly perfect. Thank you, Mr Taylor!

After 4 frustrating months at the hands of the NHS with groin pain I consulted Dr John Stephens, Private GP at the Platinum Medical Centre at the Wellington. He referred me to Mr Taylor. An MRI scan revealed a tiny ganglion touching a spinal nerve and after two courses of spinal injections under general anaesthetic over a period of four weeks the pain disappeared, needless to say with enormous relief.

Mr Taylor is a very professional surgeon, he new exactly what he was doing and explained every inch of the way on what I was about to have done. From the first meeting to the last meeting 12 months down the line after surgery everything was a very smooth journey. I couldn't be happier with the results. If I ever had to have my procedure done again, I would contact Mr Taylor without hesitation.
