Charles is unlike any other person I’ve ever met before, he is truly one of a kind. From the moment I received my diagnosis and was referred to Mr Imber, I felt immediately at ease, well informed and comforted by himself and his team. Mr Imber expertly performed a Whipple procedure, leaving an unbelievably minimal and neat scar for such a procedure. My friends and family simply can’t believe the quality and how well done it has been. Mr Imber visited every day in hospital to keep me informed and assured, answering every question and truly became part of the family throughout my weeks in hospital and aftercare. I feel truly blessed to have been lucky enough to have Mr Imber as my doctor/surgeon and will be forever greatful for his hard work, friendly nature and utter expertise. He has changed my life for the better and thanks to him I am speeding through recovery!

Mr Imber is the most caring doctor/ surgeon I have ever seen. I was referred to him for thoracic, epigastric and shoulder pain, combined at times with difficulty breathing. These symptoms have plagued me for the last 15 year, at times I was barely able to get out of bed. He is the first doctor to listen and believe I was truly in pain, and that these symptoms could be caused by diaphragmatic endometriosis, in spite of the lack of diagnostic evidence. He agreed to operate and clearly outlined all risks. He operated on me, found and removed the endometriosis from my diaphragm and I was discharged less than 24 hours later. 2 weeks later I am totally free of the hellish pain that has impacted so hugely on my life for over 15 years. I am supremely grateful to this wonderful surgeon for giving me back my life.

I had a revised umbilical hernia operation with Mr. Imber. I initially went to see him to get his opinion on whether I needed a full abdominoplasty to correct my hernia and Diastasis Recti. I had already done an umbilical hernia 4 years ago with another doctor but it sadly came back. After a thorough examination, Mr. Imber suggested I only do the hernia operation. He was able to correct my hernia and the separation in my muscles with a small and barely visible scar above my belly button. The recovery was longer than expected, but I am so pleased with the result and with the fact that I don’t have a hip to hip sized scar ( had I gone for an abdominoplasty). Mr. Imber is the go to doctor if you have a hernia; and I have seen so many other doctors!
