Mt Talbot removed a large bone chip from my shoulder - caused by an injury years previously. Even after the removal fo the bone chip and after physio, my shoulder movement was quite restricted and I experienced a fair degree of pain. The most comment next step was to have a full shoulder replacement. Rather than undergo this invasive and disruptive procedure with its associated risks, I took the recommendation of Mr Talbot to be one of the first patients he treated using a specific focussed injection of my own stem cells into the joint. The procedure took no more than 15 - 30 mins - including extracting the stem cells from a small sample of my blood. Over the subsequent months my shoulder pain reduced and the movement in my shoulder increased. Now I have almost full movement in my shoulder and I have to do something really intensive to trigger shoulder pain! The whole result feels like a minor miracle! I am extremely grateful to Mr Talbot and the team for thinking out of the box and looking at all possibilities to 'fix me'. And of course, during all this, their care was excellent - expert opinion, friendly and empathetic, listening and with a sense of humour.

With the very painful onset of a frozen shoulder which had previously been broken, I was seen immediately. I had an X-Ray, diagnosis and injection all on that same day. Absolutely fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this extremely professional yet understanding consultant who is clearly at the top of his profession

Mr Talbot was first class. He was empathetic and quick to try to resolve the pain that I was experiencing. Having carried out treatment to my shoulder, he was also efficient in referring me to another consultant in the hospital.

Mr Talbot is lovely and very approachable. I’ve just had surgery for a frozen shoulder, three days later I went for physio and I was amazed that I have nearly 100 full movement back.

From the first consultation, to the last post op consultation Mr Talbot was very informative, reassuring and professional, I cannot praise him (and his team at the Duchy Harrogate) for the care they gave and answering any questions that I had during the process, I am not back to being fit and healthy and enjoy being able to pick up my daughter and ride my bike once again. I would always recommend Mr Talbot to anyone unfortunate enough to need his expertise.

A significant muscle tear was identified in my right shoulder. Mr Talbot clearly described the condition and provided an explanation of the procedure required to repair this. The operation took place on the 22nd of january 2018 and the results have been highly satisfactory as has the follow up. I am very satisfied with the professional performance provided by Mr Talbot and his friendly, easy-going bedside manner helped make the entire experience as pleasant as one can expect a surgical procedure to be.
