Mr Damian Lake is a Consultant Ophthalmologist, Corneal and Refractive Surgeon. Within the field he is accredited in all aspects of eye care but an expert in Corneal transplantation, Cataract surgery and Refractive surgery and reconstruction of damaged eyes. Within his practice Mr Lake pays great attention to detail when treating patients and is dedicated to providing a caring service.
Upon qualifying from The University of Glasgow in 1997, Mr Lake undertook specialist Ophthalmic surgical training in London before completing two Corneal Fellowships at the world renowned Moorfields Hospital and at The Queen Victoria Hospital East Grinstead.
In addition to his practice, he lectures both nationally and internationally on his specialist interests. Mr Lake is a Fellow of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists, a member of The American Academy of Ophthalmologists, a member of the United Kingdom and Ireland Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and The Cornea Society.
