Mr Dan Lindfield is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Optegra and the Glaucoma lead at Royal Surrey County Hospital. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Southampton before undertaking his specialty training at internationally renowned teaching hospitals including Moorfields Eye Hospital, St Thomas’ Hospital and King’s College Hospital. His first Consultant Ophthalmologist post was at King’s College Hospital but he has since moved to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford.
Mr Lindfield has published 33 academic papers across all sub-speciality areas of Ophthalmology. He has won 14 prizes, both nationally and internationally including “The Treacher Collins Video Prize” at The Royal College of Ophthalmologists Annual Congress and “Best Video” at the International Congress on Glaucoma Surgery, Singapore. Mr Lindfield is a guest editor for The Journal of Glaucoma and reviews scientific papers for seven journals. He is regularly invited to speak at national and international meetings across many clinical areas.
