About

Mr David Greenstein is a Vascular Surgeon and Specialist Vein Surgeon. He is based in London, UK. He teaches internationally on venous disease. He has been pioneering local anaesthetic keyhole vein treatment since 2003. David has a vast personal experience as well as technical expertise to treat both superficial and deep vein disease. David's personal, caring and careful approach as well attention to detail results in a bespoke vein treatment for the simplest veins to the most complex vein problem. The best treatment does not mean the most expensive treatment. David's philosophy is that he believes in simplicity and most importantly advising on the best technique and treatment plan to get the best possible long term and cosmetic results .

David has a specialist interest in the management of venous diseases and the treatment of varicose veins, thread veins. David has been pioneering laser treatment for varicose veins as well as the treatment to heal leg ulcers since 2003. He also has experience in treating varicose vein problems in obese and overweight patients. He also treats veins in unusual areas such as hand and forearm veins. David is able to offer 2-ring pioneering laser treatment for varicose veins and varicose leg ulcers including VNUS, glue therapy and CariVein treatment.

In addition to treating varicose veins, David is amongst the forefront leaders in the UK for the modern management of deep vein thrombosis DVT and treatment of swollen leg. This can be both in the emergency and chronic situation, which on occasions may require stenting, clot aspiration such as Angiojet or the use of clot dissolving drugs. He has developed modern pathways to restore swollen legs to normality. This can often involved stenting and the use to special blood clot dissolving drugs (thrombolysis) and varied mechanic devices to help remove the clot.
