Mr Deemesh Oudit is a Consultant Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive surgeon. Mr Oudit currently works in the NHS as a consultant at The Christie Hospital in Manchester where he worked for the past three years. He is also proud to have been appointed as an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Manchester where he continues to impart his knowledge on other surgeons through an active teaching program and continued research in the field of plastic surgery.
Mr Oudit graduated from medical school in 1996 and spent the following five years obtaining a vast amount of experience within a variety of surgical specialties including general surgery, neurosurgery and thoracic surgery. Mr Oudit then felt prepared to embark on a career in plastic surgery. His wealth of experience in a number of other fields of surgery has had an immensely positive impact on his plastic surgical career. He now has over thirteen years of experience in plastic surgery.
Mr Oudit has contributed significantly to the field of plastic surgery literature and has published over 30 articles in world-renowned plastic surgery journals. Mr Oudit has also presented his papers at national and international conferences.
Mr Oudit is the author of a plastic surgery textbook called "Local Flaps in Plastic Surgery" and is also a director of Surgicalillustration.com Limited (a surgical education company). He has also developed an app for iPhones/iPads that helps instruct plastic surgery trainees in the art and science of using local flaps, a fundamental technique used in plastic surgery.
