Mr Panayi explained procedures, results and everything associated with my appts, clearly and in a friendly manner

Mr Demetri Panayi was very easy to speak to and obviously very confident in his field of expertise. After a brief consultation snd examination he hypothesised that although I have a prolapse, I may not actually have urinary stress incontinence. He suggested that a pessary might establish this by removing the pressure of the uterine prolapse. I like this logical spproach. He also factually gave me the cm measurement of the prolapse protusion and his notes were in plain everyday language just giving the size of pesaary and avoiding long latin medical terms. I felt very much that he saw immediately what my problem was and gave a number of options and plan.

Mr Panayi pursued every avenue in order to find the best treatment for me.

I struggled with very painful recurrent UTIs for years and saw no hope of it getting better. I was previously stuffed with antibiotics for months - Dr Panayi took an alternative approach by doing a cystoscopy, followed by one month only of targeted antibiotic treatment and then referred me to physiotherapy while on pain management medication, which is working brilliantly so far and has helped me get to the root of the issue rather than applying band-aid solutions. Throughout this whole process, Dr Panayi was patient to discuss all possible routes with me and I felt empowered by this. I am so lucky to have put my urinary health in his hands.

I went to see Mr Panayi after recurrent UTIs. He was very reassuring and I instantly felt that he had the expertise and experience that I was looking for as he understood the situation completely. He explained all different treatment options and the pros and cons and which would be suitable for me while leaving the ultimate decision to me. Six months later and I am so much better. I’m also pleased that he is trying to get me off all medication and has a holistic approach. A big thank you too Amy his wonderful assistant. she’s always responsive and very efficient

I had a small procedure to remove a uterine polyp. Mr Panayi explained everything clearly and took the time to answer all my questions. The procedure went very smoothly and I have had no problems afterwards. I was kept well informed throughout and felt very reassured and in good hands. Thank you!

I saw Dr Panayi for some unexplained gynaecological symptoms I had been struggling with for a year or so. He was very patient and understanding during my consultation especially as it is something I was really worried about. Dr Panayi also carried out all the necessary tests I needed and wanted for so long to get to the root cause. I ended up having a hysteroscopy under his care which revealed and resolved the issue. I am very pleased with my treatment and care and can’t thank him enough.
