Mr Duncan Atherton is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon who qualified as a doctor with a double distinction from St George’s Medical School London in 2000. Later in his career, he would undertake his basic surgical training in Cambridge and has been working as a Plastic Surgeon since 2003. His scholarly accomplishments would continue when he was awarded an MD for his thesis on nerve injury from Imperial College in 2006.
Owing to his medical capabilities and aspirations, he would continue his plastic surgical training in London, gaining further experience in many of the capital’s leading teaching hospitals, including The Royal Free, The Chelsea and Westminster, Charing Cross Hospital, Great Ormond Street and Guys and St Thomas’. He would later become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, as a specialist plastic surgeon, in 2011.
On account of the depth of his medical knowledge, Mr Atherton offers expertise in cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery for any patients with congenital or acquired facial problems, including removal of skin cancers and subsequent reconstruction.
Alongside his colleagues, the team at The Aesthetic Surgeons, his private practice on Harley Street, have a longstanding history of providing the utmost in patient care. They combine their expertise to provide patients with a full spectrum of medical care in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He has a particular interest in rhinoplasty and secondary rhinoplasty
