Mr Edward Lee is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Surgeon, specialising in cataract and vitreoretinal surgeries, and the treatment of retinal conditions. At Epsom and St.Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust he is the lead consultant for retinal services.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Oxford University, where he won an Open Academic Scholarship from Brasenose College and a number of prizes following end of year exams. After qualifying, he worked in the UK and New Zealand before undertaking specialist fellowships at St. Thomas’ and Moorfields Hospitals, and a PhD at the world-renowned Institute of Ophthalmology.
He operates using the latest small-gauge equipment and is actively engaged in ophthalmic research and evaluating ophthalmic treatments and associated protocols. His own research is related to improving patient outcomes following retinal surgeries.
