Mr Palazzo is clinical lead consultant in endocrine surgery at Hammersmith Hospital since 2005. Privately he also works at BUPA Cromwell Hospital and Princess Grace Hospital in Central London. He has a specialist thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal practice and is one of the UK's highest volume thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgeons with a personal series of over 3000 operations (2015) including over 350 thyroidectomies, parathyroidectomies and adrenalectomies performed in 2015 alone.
He qualified in 1992 and undertook both basic and specialist surgical training in and around London prior to endocrine surgical specialist training in Oxford, Sydney and Marseille.
Mr Palazzo has an international practice in thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgery with a special interest in thyroid cancer, re-operative parathyroid surgery and minimally invasive endocrine surgery.
He is Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London where he is Clinical Lead for Endocrine Surgery. Mr Palazzo also teaches on national and international courses and is widely published in all aspects of endocrine disease and surgery. Mr Palazzo teaches undergraduates and surgeons in training on thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgery, and has co-authored guidelines and guidance documents both in the UK and overseas. He represents the UK endocrine at a European level and lectures widely. He has over 100 peer reviewed publications on all aspects of endocrine surgery.
