Mr Finlay Curran is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon based in Cheshire, UK. He graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1989 and has since gone on to specialise in general and colorectal surgery through extensive postgraduate training across Glasgow and Manchester. During his training with the Royal College of Surgeons Mr Curran also studied in Germany after being awarded a travelling fellowship, where he focused on minimally invasive surgery. He also takes an active role in the academic education of his peers and has previously held the position of Divisional Lead for Postgraduate Medical Education with the Royal College.
Mr Curran was a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at Stepping Hill Hospital, where he was also Clinical Director for over half a decade. More recently in 2010, he was appointed to a similar role as a consultant at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He is adept at both laparoscopic and open surgery, whilst his specialist interests include hernias, endoscopy, colorectal surgery, and pelvic floor surgery.
