Mr Freddie Banks is a Consultant Urologist based in Hertfordshire, UK. He undertook his training at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, St Mary's and Mount Vernon. Following on from this he undertook a research MD at the Royal Free Hospital and went on to complete his specialist training at Great Ormond Street, Southampton and UCH.
He has a specialist interest in the treatment of benign prostatic obstruction with Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) and has a sub-specialist interest in paediatric urology, including conditions from antenatal kidney dilatation to adolescent issues. He is able to provide assistance and investigate virtually all urological conditions of which a large majority do not require surgery. Mr Banks treats patients experiencing difficulties passing or holding onto urine, concerns regarding urological cancers and also conditions such as impotence, kidney stones or infertility.
In his spare time Mr Banks enjoys playing rugby, having previously played with the Saracens and Imperial Medicals. He also enjoys fishing, bird watching, gardening and skiing.
