Mr Gamal Georgis Barsoum is a Consultant General Surgeon specialising in lower gastrointestinal surgery.

Mr Barsoum sees patients with a variety of gastrointestinal problems and routinely carries out a number of general surgery procedures including colorectal surgery, laparoscopic hernia repair surgery, endoscopic procedures, laparoscopic removal of gall bladder stones, anal pathologies treatment (haemorrhoids, fistulas, fissure).

Mr Barsoum has a keen interest in oncological surgery and the radical treatment of colorectal cancer. He is also particularly interested in state of the art techniques for the treatment of various hernias.

Mr Barsoun is always up-to-date with the latest advancements in laparoscopic surgery and is an active member of numerous national and international laparoscopic societies.
