Mr Georgios Orfaniotis is a fully accredited London Plastic Surgeon with over 12 years experience in reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery. He graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2002 and following completion of core surgical training and serving as a doctor in the Greek army, he moved to the UK in 2006 to continue specialist surgical training. He trained at several pioneering UK hospitals including the Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit - Glasgow, Queen Victoria hospital -East Grinstead, and St Thomas’ hospital, London. Georgios has completed international fellowships in cutting-edge Plastic surgery units in Taiwan and the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia. His specialist aesthetic training included a prestigious aesthetic fellowship at the Wellington Hospital, London.
Georgios is dual-qualified having obtained the Plastic Surgery Fellowship exam of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Plast) and the European plastic surgery board exam (EBOPRAS). He was entered onto the GMC specialist register for Plastic surgery in 2015. He is a full member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS), and the British Association of Head & Neck oncologists (BAHNO).
He currently holds a substantive NHS Consultant position at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital London, a world-leading centre for cancer services where he regularly performs complex reconstructive and corrective surgery in the Head and Neck area. Prior to this, he was a Consultant at the Royal London hospital and a core member of the Head and Neck multidisciplinary team at University College London hospital.
Georgios has a keen interest in teaching and has been recognised as invited faculty and through international awards from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He enjoys clinical research and has published over 25 articles in peer-reviews plastic surgery journals.
