About

Following my initial speciality training in orthopaedics and trauma I moved to the UK in 2005. I gained extensive experience in the surgery of a broad spectrum of common hand, elbow, shoulder, hip and knee conditions. This was followed by formal fellowship training in complex hip and knee replacement surgery and hip arthroscopy at the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire.

I hold a PhD degree in cartilage research in the field of treatment for focal cartilage defects in the knee.

I worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust till 2019 and now work exclusively privately.

My main area of expertise is hip and knee surgery. I perform a large number of cemented and uncemented hip replacements using modern implants and minimally invasive techniques. In the knee I use both total and partial replacements depending on the areas affected by arthritis.

Knee arthroscopy forms a major part of my practice including operations for cartilage tears and instability. For my anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions I use an advanced anatomic single bundle technique.

I led the implementation of fast track joint replacement surgery in the Ramsay Treatment Centre, Banbury and we are now offering day case hip and knee replacements for suitable patients.

I also undertake surgery for common hand conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger and Dupuytren's contracture.
