Mr Giles Heilpern is a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon with a shoulder and knee practice covering all aspects of shoulder and knee surgery. He has a particular clinical interest in meniscal injuries, ligament reconstruction and partial and total knee replacement.
Mr Heilpern graduated from his medical studies at Pembroke College Cambridge and Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals in 1999. He then completed a three year surgical rotation at Guys, Kingston and Atkinson Morley's Hospitals before joining the South East Thames Orthopaedic training programme. Following this, Mr Heilpern travelled to Australia where he completed two subspecialty fellowships in knee and shoulder surgery.
At his shoulder clinic, he treats all aspects of shoulder surgery including arthroscopic decompression, arthroscopic stabilisation, rotator cuff repair and arthroplasty. Similarly, he covers all aspects of knee surgery including arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, partial and total knee arthroplasty and osteotomy.
