Mr Taylor qualified in 1988 with a specialty interest in paediatric orthopaedics. Part of this specialty included complex foot deformity, from which his interest in adult foot surgery arose. At this time there were no other orthopaedic consultants in Southampton primarily practising adult foot surgery and his practice grew to fill the vacuum. Since this time he has developed his practice to include advanced techniques in fore foot corrective surgery and ankle replacement. He is currently conducting prospective audits on this work and has presented and published papers on the subject.
