Mr. Gus Gazzard is a London-based Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and leading researcher. His primary areas of expertise are cataracts, glaucoma. He provides medical, laser and surgical treatment of glaucoma and performs small incision and complex cataract surgery.
Mr. Gazzard is a Moorfields Eye Hospital Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and UCL Reader in Ophthalmology, Glaucoma Studies. He is the recent recipient of the prestigious, competitively awarded NHS National Bronze Merit Award. Mr Gazzard has considerable experience in his chosen field, developed through decades of work and research both within the UK and internationally.
His research has included clinical trials of Glaucoma surgery and currently he is the Chief Investigator of the LiGHT Trial of Laser Treatment for Glaucoma, a major study into the most effective use of selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT). He is the recent recipient of the prestigious, competitively awarded NHS National Bronze Merit Award.
