About

Mr Hagen Jähnich is a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon based in London. Mr Jähnich specialises in shoulder and elbow surgery specifically the management of uper limb problems. 

 

Between 1985 and 1990 Mr Jähnich attended medical school in Germany, graduating in 1991. Alongside this he also participated in several training posts in sports medicine. Following this Mr Jähnich then moved to England, where he improved his use of the English language. Whilst in the UK he undertook full training in general surgery before completing his specialist training in orthopedic surgery. This included advanced training posts in shoulder and elbow surgery and a hand fellowship.

Mr Jähnich has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2003 and over the last 10 years of his practice as a consultant he has developed and broadened his surgical techniques in modern shoulder surgery. He frequently teaches on national and international specialist athroscopic surgery courses and is the Regional Clinical Co-ordinator of the National Joint Registry. 

Outside of work Mr Jähnich is a keen rower and has competed nationally and internationally, winning multiple titles.
