Mr Harbhajan Plaha is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon. He completed a Fellowship at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay in 1975. Through working in major trauma clinics in Bombay, India, he gained experience in general paediatrics and vascular surgery.

Following on from his training in India, he moved to London to further his orthopaedic training. He then gained FRCS Edinburgh, FRCS England and FRCS (Tr & Orth) Edinburgh. He became a Consultant in 1992 for Barking Havering and Redbridge Hospital.

Mr Plaha specialises in hip replacement surgery, lumbar discectomy, knee arthroscopy and knee replacement.

He also has an interest in using the internet-based platform VRinOR®. This uses VR technology for healthcare professionals to improve their medical training by being virtually present within an operating theatre whilst watching virtual surgery being performed.
